Warriors of the 3 Kingdoms aficionado’s rejoice! Today will be the close beta of Red Cliff (Chi bi) published by Cubinet Interactive./Cubizone Based on the epic struggle of the kingdom’s Zhu, Wu and Wei for supremacy, Players can experience to become a pugilist who will fight for the honor of their selected kingdom.

The close beta test will start today September 23 2009 at around 2:00 PM GMT+8 and will end on October 12 2009.

I will be siding on Liu Bei’s army the Shu Han Kingdom and since my preferred style of fighting is to disable and at the same time attacking a large group of enemy, I will be choosing a War Fan as my weapon of choice. As for my in-game moniker I will be using a name of a popular “Jinyong” character written in Chinese character.

There game publisher provided some in-game and community events such as the “Bug Buster“, “Play together” and “War Stories” to keep the close beta tester occupied during the period which in my opinion their in-game events is kind of uncreative, half baked, cliche and is crying for more conceptualization.

I’m kind of excited to see myself as a pugilist in a Wu Xia world. I just hope that time will fly as fast as it can today.
