I’ve been seeing a lots of looks parodies particularly look a likes in MMO these days such as the Barrack Obama character in AION and Gloria Macapagal Arroyo inside Second Life. Is it true that amusing stuffs like this can easily tickled my funny bone and bring me to an “awe” trance. However there are some things that can easily steals the you this days and that is Anime and Gaming. In this current generation controlled by pop culture and electricity majority of them are hooked with A and G. Combine the A and G to online gaming, You surely loves to see some parody inside an online game though for sure it will make some fanatics eyebrows raise…

Lets take a look at STEPS the newest dancing rhythm MMO that will hit the country. One of the best feature of this game is the character customization, For starters the character customization in terms of the body adapts a toned down version of PERFECT WORLD’s. Yes you can alter, resize or reposition any parts of your body. As for the fashion items, You can choose a color of a clothes that you want that you can buy in the item mall. You can even put some details in your face such as make ups, eye blushes, contact lens, foundations etc…

Okay so lets take a look on what STEPS can do for us or what we can do in STEPS….

Do you ‘Remember the time” when you you are listeing to The KING of POP’s song! Yes it’s Michael Jackson! you can alter your character face just like him in STEPS upcoming major expansion STEPS EVOLUTION. Now you dance, you can jive to his music while playing a character just like him we’ll i think no other MMO dancing game can “Beat it“.

This one can surely “set the roof on FIRE baby!” Yes your right it’s 2NE1’s Park Bom in the house. You can create a character that looks like her in their music video FIRE! I do believe that you can also create a CL Clone in-game.

Let’s head to the Customization Mix and Match that can be seen in STEPS Internation PH Official Community Fan Page. You can actually have a character like this as of the moment so let’s try to jump in the Anime and Gaming department.

The evolution of dance STEPS is fantazzztic!

Most of you guys are wondering the difference between the current STEPS and the upcoming version of STEPS popularly know as STEPS EVOLUTION. As far as i know. STEPS EVOLUTION is a major revamp to the current version of this game which offers 4 top notching features such as the “Adopting a Baby“, Composing / Remixing your own song, Drive and Fly and Transform with your own pet.

Lets take a closer :

Adopting a Baby - So what comes after marriage? Honeymoon? After that? We’ll if you are tired of dancing with your pet, theres a big solution for that because now you can now dance with your baby.

I believe that their function is pretty similar to your pet for the reason that their interface looks the same.

The same with the pet it means you need to feed them in order to reach a certain satiation level wherein you have the ability to transform them into a dancing baby?It is unknown if you need to become a couple before acquiring a baby.

Drive and Fly – Aside from Walking or Piggy Back Riding STEPS introduces a new form of transportation. Become the king of the road by driving to the fast lanes of steps using your funky vehicles or riding your own mystical mounts such as dragons and unicorns.

If you think in lacks some fantasy. In steps evolution you can freely fly using your wings! You heard it right your wings in STEPS EVOLUTIONS is not just a decoration.

To compensate the traveling STEPS Evolution provides places with a wide area to hang out.

Transform with your pet – There was a legend in the world of steps where a beautiful and intelligent fox who lived for a thousand of years. According to hearsay the fox will unite with it’s master when to dance together.

Compose your own song with a song editing tool.

The 4th Strike is FANTAZZZTIC!

I was here despite of some certain issues that will prevent me on going to TAGCOM the 4th Strike by Hobbiworx Inc. Probably this is my first time to attend TAGCOM since i don’t usually hang around in the city of Manila. We’ll actually i really hate the structure of Robinsons Place Manila. The way the building was constructed seems to be a little complicated for me. It’s kind of unusual compared to the malls that i went through.

Anyway the most anticipated event in TAGCOM is the cosplay competition and from what i observed there are less Mecha cosplayers this time. Okay the familiar faces are there. It’s feel like that they are your classmate during the conventions and thats a good thing. So lets check out some of the cosplayers in the event.

It’s seems that the cosplay judges for this event are taking their judging into the next level. I’m a little bit surprised that MECHA’ cosplayers didn’t manage to bring home the bacon. Usually mecha cosplayers won in cosplay competitions we’ll they are technically looks IMBA in the first place compared to cosplayers with human elements. Which is a good thing those judges looks on the performance/ characterization/ accuracy rather than the “imbaness” of a certain costume. In my opinion cosplayers must have a “human element” in the first place.

There is a certain portion in TAGCOM that cannot be seen in other Cosplay competitions and that is the Historical category. It’s like there are only three person to join in that category and there are more than 170+ cosplay participants in the anime/manga etc. category? The historical category seems to be a 4,000 pesos give away but no one takes the bait! Oh we’ll there are lots of historical figure to choose form.

All in all the cosplay competition is a success. Kudos to Hobbixworx and Cosplay dot PH for doing a great job. However i’m having a so-so thoughts in the main event itself. it needs a better and wider space imo.

Just to give you guys some head ups, I’m still alive. yes this blog is not dead. it’s just that i am busy with my life and work. Work = Life? Makes sense. So anyway what can we expect in the upcoming week?

Lets check out what newest MMO pub in the island Cubizone Philippines has to offer.

Last Saturday they conducted their first ever Invitational Guild Leaders Meeting. During the event Cubizone Philippines introduces their upcoming game as well as their future game roster. Check out my friend BACk2GAMING’s report about the said event.

Players can win with a total of 150,000 PHP by joining the Conquerors Quest of Casvian Philippines. The mechanics is pretty simple all you need to do is to become the TOP Ranking player of a race etc. Check out the details here.

Aside from that Casvian Philippines will enter its Commercial launch phase of February 25 2010, In lieu of that Cubits or (Cash Shop Points) are now available in Load Central.

As for me i am very happy that my Leopard Cat from STEPS evolved into a dancing pet this morning. I’m so proud of himm purrr ? Time to buy another new pet..I wonder if we are able to top up cubits to STEPS on the 25th since we will be using the English Server/ South East Asia and Cubi PH serves as a PAYMENT gateway

Otaku Expo 2010 is Fantazzztic!

Last Sunday we went to attend the Day 2 of Otaku Expo 2010 in SM Megamall Building B Mega Trade Hall 2. As expected there are lots of people outside from cosplayers , photographers up to the mall passerby’s. Familiar faces, popular persona in the industry are there mingling with the crowd, We went inside and surprisingly there are less people. My number one complaint is that it s really hot despite of the numbers.
